Wildscreen in Bristol, UK, is hosting a special underwater imaging event. A chance to meet, hear from and speak to Edward Lai, Nauticam founder and the genius engineer behind their range of groundbreaking optics that have redefined the limits in underwater imaging.

Edward will present “My Journey in Optics”, a talk detailing his fascination and passion for breaking the boundaries in the capabilities and quality of underwater lenses. He will share the design process from conception to realisation of Nauticam’s celebrated optics, both from a theoretical and real-world perspective. The presentation will give you insight into how this range of remarkable products work, but also how to best exploit them in your photography. The event has considerable networking time, a chance to talk to Edward about Nauticam’s designs and perhaps inspire some future product.

Also speaking is underwater photographer Alex Mustard, who will talk about how Nauticam’s optics have been revolution for our community. Alex is one of the world’s best known underwater photographers and definitely the person everyone listens to when it comes to cutting edge underwater photography gear. Alex has directly inspired many of Nauticam’s optical products, testing prototypes and final products for Nauticam over the last 15 years, as well as shooting many celebrated images with them all around the world.

The event is hosted by Alex Tattersall of Underwater Visions, who is providing snacks and goodie bags! The event has a limited capacity and costs £20 GBP, which goes to the Wildscreen charity for hosting the event.
