A pair of redbreasted wrasse (Cheilinus quinquecinctus) spawning in the late afternoon. The large male is behind and the smaller female is yawning as she releases her eggs. The male fertilized the eggs as she released them, then also swam back through them alone and released more sperm to increase the chances of fertilization. Gubal Island, Egypt. Strait of Gubal, Gulf of Suez, Red Sea.
