Whaleshark Bottle Feeding. Mexico
A whaleshark (Rhincodon typus) stops swimming and feeds on plankton near the surface. This type of feeding is known as botella, because the shark hangs vertical in the water like a bottle, gulping in food. Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Yucatan Peninsular, Mexico. Caribbean Sea.
