Teeth detail on swarthy parrotfish (Scarus niger) taken at night, while the parrotfish slept. Baa Atoll, Maldives. Indian Ocean. Parrotfish get their names from these beaks (and their gaudy colours) that they use for biting lumps from the reef to feed on the algae growing there.
