A large boulder brain coral (Colpophyllia natans) infected by Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease (SCTLD), while diver (Zuzu Askin) inspects. Here the disease is advancing on multiple fronts, eating into the healthy brown tissue and leaving behind white dead skeleton that discolours as algae grows on it. East End, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, British West Indies. Caribbean Sea.
