A pair of cleaner wrasse (bluestreak cleaner wrasse: Labroides dimidiatus;) attend to a large male steephead parrotfish (Chlorurus strongylocephalus) above a coral reef. Laamu Atoll, Maldives, Indian Ocean.
Maldives General Fisheries Regulation (2020/R-75), prohibits the capture, killing, harming or transporting of any species of parrotfish. Additionally, trading and displaying parrotfish or items produced from its parts in in shops and public places will be prohibited from March 1, 2021 onwards.
