A female common seahorse (yellow seahorse: Hippocampus kuda) wraps her prehensile tail around piece of wood on the seabed. Bitung, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Lembeh Strait, Molucca Sea.
This species is often called the yellow seahorse, although typically the males are brown and the females a variation of yellow. In Lembeh, where I took these shots it is more common that the females are orange.
