A colourful harlequin hogfish (Bodianus eclancheri) swims on a reef. This hiogfish comes in many colours and it is the same genetic mutation that gives domestic koi carp their colouration. In fact many of the colour patterns are similar, this one would be called ‘sanke’ for koi carp. I am not aware of any other wild fish that show this mutation.
