This striped puffer (Arthron manilensis) is being dragged down beneath the sand, by an unknown predator (maybe a snake eel, bobbit worm or spearing mantis shrimp). The desperate pufferfish had fully inflated, but this was not saving it and it was slowly pulled beneath the sand by the hidden predator. Bitung, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Lembeh Strait, Molucca Sea.
