An expanse of bleached hard corals (Porites sp.) with a pair of exquiste butterflyfish (Chaetodon austriacus). The Egytian Red Sea is a particularly northerly area of reef growth and historically has avoided mass bleaching events, being considered something of a refuge for coral growth. This was part of the summer 2024 coral bleaching event in the Red Sea. Daedelus Reef, Egypt. Red Sea
