A table coral (Acropora sp.) bleached on a coral reef as a result of elevated water temperatures, which cause the coral to expell its zooxanthellae. This bleaching occured in 2022, due to warming water caused by a La Nina event. Raja Ampat. This area is usually considered as a refuge from mass bleaching events. Misool, Raja Ampat, West Papua, Indonesia. Ceram Sea. Tropical West Pacific Ocean.
