A surface view of a section of Nikulasargja canyon, or the Money Pit, (a deep fault filled with fresh water in the rift valley between the Eurasian and American tectonic plates) at Thingvellir National Park, Iceland. In this photo the American plate is on the left and the Eurasian plate is at the back on the right. This canyon gets its name because tourists throw coins into this canyon for good luck.
