An emperor shrimp (Periclimenes imperator) explores the alien-looking landscape of its host sea cucumber (Bohadschia argus). Emperor shrimps are commensals on many hosts, including several species of sea cucumbers, starfish and nudibranchs. Charmingly, they often feed on the feces of their host. Fak Fak region, South Bird’s Head peninsula, West Papua, Indonesia.
