The golden-brown stalk of this searod Pseudoplexaura sp. shows that it contains zooxanthellae (single-celled algae), which provide much of its nutritional needs. These photosynthetic soft corals are characteristic of Atlantic coral reefs. East End, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, British West Indies. Caribbean Sea.
