A bleached boulder star coral (lobed star coral: Montastraea annularis) spawning at night in late summer. This photo shows the synchronous release of bundles of eggs and sperm. This coral was spawning despite being bleached by themal stress. East End, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, British West Indies. Caribbean Sea.
