A colony of symmetrical brain coral (Diploria strigosa) spawning at night in late summer. This photo shows bundles of eggs and sperm slowly being released from the polyps. The colony has its polyps extended during spawning, which is not typical in my experience. East End, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, British West Indies. Caribbean Sea.
