A long and multiple exposure revealing a shoal of two-fin flashlightfish (Anomalops katoptron) inside a cave, showing the characteristic flashing of their bioluminescent organs as they swim. These fish have two (one on each side) bean shaped torch-like organ under their eyes containing bioluminescent bacteria, which the fish can turn on and off by blinking (the bacteria glow constantly). Ambon, Maluku Archipelago, Indonesia. Banda Sea, tropical west Pacific Ocean.
