A tube guardian crab (Lissocarcinus laevis) sits on the sand below the tentacles of its host tube anemone (Cerianthus sp.). Tube anemones can withdraw entirely inside their tubes, often leaving the crabs exposed on the sand, waiting for them to reappear. This crab is found living with a variety of anemones and soft corals. Seraya, Tulamben area, Bali, Indonesia. Java Sea.
