A portrait of a male lumpsucker (Cyclopterus lumpus) covered in fluorescent pink copepod parasites. It is quite common for lumpsuckers to have such a high parasite load. This male was guarding eggs inshore in early spring (March). Babbacombe Bay, Devon, England, British Isles. English Channel.
