A portrait of a common hermit crab (Pagurus bernhardus) whose borrowed mollusc shell home is covered in the hydroid (Hydractinia echinata). This species of hydroid lives only on the shells of hermit crabs. Loch Fyne, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, British Isles.
