Boulder star coral (lobed star coral: Montastraea annularis) spawning at night in late summer. This photo shows the synchronous release of bundles of eggs and sperm. This coral has pretty much completed spawning and the bundles are floating away in the water column. East End, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, British West Indies. Caribbean Sea.
