A symmeterical brain coral (Diploria strigosa) prepares to spawn at night in late summer. Note the gamete bundles set in the polyps of the coral, visible as balls within the grooves of the brain coral. One gamete bundles is beginning to be released. East End, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, British West Indies. Caribbean Sea.
