A poylps of a brain coral (Diploria strigosa) capturing a planktonic worm, photographed under blue light to excite the fluorescence. The coral polyps glow green and the worm glows orange. The coral polyps have injected their nematocysts into the worm and its body has exploded, its tissues still fluorescing as their drift away. The eyes of the worm are glowing green. East End, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Caribbean Sea.
