Clearfin lionfish (radiated lionfish: Pterois radiata) mating. The top frame shows the larger male swimming on his side, behind and underneath the female to fertilise the egg raft she is releasing. The lower photo shows them swimming back to the reef moments later with the eggs visible above. Taken around dusk, during the summer in the Red Sea. Abu Nuhas, Egypt.
