A family group of bottlenose dolphins (Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin: little bottlenose dolphin: Tursiops adunctus) swim over a coral reef. Sha'ab El Erg, Hurghada, Egypt. Red Sea.
This species was seperated from the bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) based on differences in genetics, osteology, and external morphology (Wang et al. 1999, 2000a & b)
