A bleached coral (Acropora sp.) showing its pink and blue pigments, which usually are not visible when the coral is filled with endosybiotic zooxanthellae. Photo taken in during early 2026 coral bleaching event in Fiji, that was widespread but without high levels of mortality. Ra Province, Viti Levu, Fiji, Polynesia. Bligh Waters, Vatu-i-Ra Passage, Tropical South Pacific Ocean.
